@Cid Yeah, it should be virtually identical, save for it being open-source, which is almost always preferable, as there's more people keeping an eye on what's being added and tweaked. As far as other XDA Labs apps, that chromium browser is definitely my big one, and all the rest are pretty well known (like Adguard, YouTube Downloader, MiXplorer). KokoTime is pretty good, but it's made its way to the Play Store since its 2.0 update which now functions similar to KODI by using plugins instead of having streaming sources built-in.

@Marquis Adguard absolutely blocks ads in apps, without root even. I believe it's just a premium feature. I forget where exactly, but there was a comment on Reddit quite some time ago that linked to an unexpectedly legit Russian(?) website that offers lifetime premium versions for a one-time ~$6 payment. After you pay, it redirects you to the official Adguard website and provides you with the premium key there. Each key unlocks premium for a single device. I used it twice more than a year ago and haven't encountered any problems.
